I discovered..

I recently discovered Chip It! It's a website by American paint producer Sherwin-Williams, which turns an image into a colour palette using their paint colours. You simply upload an image and it gives you a selection of paint swatches found within the image.

Now if you've been reading this blog for a while you will know how much I love colour and colour palettes, especially found ones from images, so this was SUPER exciting for me! I have been playing around for ages uploading some of my most colourful photos and have posted some of my favourite results below, enjoy!

Custom fabric makes

It suddenly occurred to me that I never shared the photos of the things I made with my custom printed Spoonflower fabric for my degree work! You can see the original post about the fabric here.

I made bunting, a bag, keyrings, fabric napkins and seat cushions with the 2 coordinating fabrics. It's a great summery fabric and the seat cushions have been out in my garden looking beautiful!

You can buy the fabrics in my Spoonflower shop (apples + stripes)

We have FINALLY had some summer here and it has been wonderful! Not wanting to miss out of the great weather, which will probably only last a few days I have been working outside quite a bit of the time, soaking up some sun and enjoying my surroundings!

Below are a few pictures of lovely things in my garden that I have had the joy to work beside and seek inspiration from!

Preparing for the holiday season

The holiday season is a very busy time for sellers on Etsy so I am starting to prepare myself and my shop(s) for the busy period and using this quiet summer period to add lots of exciting new products, both gifty and holiday season related, and hopefully open a new shop!

My current Etsy shop, iheartrosie, sells fabric items. Braided fabric bracelets, fabric hearts keyrings and other fabric items, such as fabric christmas trees and stars. There are also super cute friendship bracelets! Many items that would make great gifts this holiday season! (I'm cringing a little bit saying that in July, but there we go!)

I'm currently working on new bracelet colours and styles, and special holiday items, plush fabric christmas trees, stars and hearts, plush fabric christmas tree garlands and other nice things!

Here's a sneak peek of some of the fabrics I'm using for the christmas collection!

I've also been working on items for a new paper based shop where I hope to sell my own designs as prints and greetings cards. It's starting to come together so I will be able to share that with you soon!

Here's a little sneak peek of some of the things I've been working on! Let me know what you think!

Yet more Moo

As I told you on Friday I received yet more yummy pieces from the wonderful, not only did I receive my own lovely new pieces but also business cards and stickers that I created for a client.

The client wanted a logo and identity for their cupcake business, which I created and then produced business cards and stickers. Andrea's cupcakes offer DELICIOUS cupcakes for all occasions and are going to be running cupcake parties, which I am currently working on flyers for, so more to come soon!

There is also a website and blog in the pipeline and of course social media outlets, so keep your eyes peeled!

Below are a few photos of the business cards and stickers from I love how you can have many different backs on your cards from Moo (like on my minicards) which we took advantage of by using photos of cupcakes made by Andrea herself and showing how fantastic the product is!

Another exciting delivery from Moo!

I recently took advantage of the 30% off summer sale at Moo and ordered myself some mini cards and stickers. The previous items I ordered were so fantastic I thought it would be good to have a smaller less formal card to give out to people with my website and twitter on, so ordered a pack of minicards, with 8 different designs on the backs, 6 of my best/favourite surface designs and 2 traditional backs like my existing Moo business cards.

Again amazed by the quality, appearance, feel and attention to detail of Moo products. The colours have some out perfectly, the paper stock feels incredible and they come so beautifully packaged too!

I also ordered a client's business cards and stickers from Moo and they have also arrived so expect a post of more Moo gorgeousness next week!

I absolutely adore the mini cards with a selection of my designs on the back, it's like a mini portfolio!
